Bright blue skies, warm temperatures and stiff winds greeted the competitors in the morning for the round of 16 at Illini Country Club in Springfield, IL.  The spectators were treated to many exciting matches featuring more than a few birdies.  The competition was fierce, but in the end the field was reduced to 8 for the afternoon matches. 

 

The afternoon and the round of 8 became a true test of endurance as the competitors played their 4th round in two days to determine the final four competitors for tomorrow’s two rounds.  Every corner of the state was represented in the final 8. It is clear that Illinois has many amazing women golfers. The results were as follows.

 

ILLINOIS STATE WOMEN’S AMATEUR RESULTS – TUESDAY AFTERNOON ROUND OF 8

 

Mackenzie Hahn, Spring Grove, defeated Jordan Koehler, Galesburg, 2 up. Sarah Arnold, St. Charles, defeated Lexi Petersen, Galesburg, 1 up. Victoria Hays, Alton, defeated Erica Kerr, Peoria, 2 & 1. Emilyee McGiles, Orland Hills, defeated Alyssa Gaudio, Western Springs, 2 & 1.
