86th Illinois State Women’s Amateur Championship
Dates: June 24 – 27, 2019
Location: Illini Country Club, Springfield, Illinois
Entry Deadline: Players for the qualifying round will be comprised of the applicants with the lowest 96 handicap indexes received by June 17, 2019. If the field is not full by the entry deadline, late entry requests may be accepted pending approval of the Championship Chair. Confirmation of receipt of entry and payment will be posted at iwga.org. In the event of a full field, a waiting list will be established and posted at iwga.org.
Format: The match play field will be comprised of the lowest 80 players from Monday's 18 hole qualifying round. Players who finish higher than 80th will be eliminated from the championship. Championship flight will be comprised of 32 players with remaining flights comprised of 8 players each. The defending champion is exempt from qualifying and will be seeded number one. The defending champion may elect to play the qualifying round to compete for Medalist honors. Her seeding will not be affected. Ties for 80th place and for the last place in Championship Flight will be determined by sudden-death playoff immediately following the qualifying round. All other ties for flight seeding will be determined by random draw
Eligibility: This event is open to all female residents of Illinois with a handicap
index of 22.0 or less.
Entry Fee: The entry fee is $175 and includes a practice round, championship rounds, championship round warm-up balls and a $25 voucher to be used to purchase items at the host club. Refunds for cancellations prior to June 17 will have a $15 administrative fee deducted. No refunds will be given after June 17.
